**Under Construction, Please bear with us**

“There are only three sports: Bullfighting, Motor Racing and Mountaineering; all the rest are merely games.” - Ernest Hemingway
Although I don’t personally agree with the Bullfighting comment, I couldn’t have put it better myself and because this sport means so much to me, I decided to start a blog so I can share my love,
experiences, frustrations, successes (and failures) within Motor Sport.
The goal of this blog is to help those reading it by allowing them to learn
from my mistakes, and if I’m lucky to share my successes, as I try to move up a
few steps on the racing ladder.
Perhaps one day it will help someone follow their dreams and passion for racing.J
Let me start off by explaining that I am not trying to become a professional racing driver. I realised some time ago that I am too old (28), too fat and too slow to make
it into the likes of Formula 1, Indy Car, WTCC or any other dizzy heights of world motor sport.
Beyond my unfortunate lack of world beating talent, my biggest hurdle is (and I
expect this is most people’s issue with motorsport) that it costs so much bloody money!!
Don’t get me wrong, I have a well-paid job and live a comfortable life - so don’t feel sorry for me! What I am getting at is, like many others, I can only dream of being able to raise the
£30k-250k budgets that are needed to take part in a high profile national motor sport championship.
That’s not a reason to give up though, and it doesn’t mean that there isn’t space for you to still go racing!
So where does this leave anyone who has some talent but was not born with the same financial advantages that some racers have?
As I share this same frustration I decided to document what I am trying; in the hope that it might one day help someone else.
Who knows, maybe I will get a lottery win tomorrow but in the meantime, I will
continue to race as much as I can for what I can afford – I urge you to do the
same and I will do my best to help point you in the right direction via this site and my blog. P
lease check out the Blog page, which will be updated whenever something interesting happens, if you want to read any of my old work for Crash.net or Simraceway.com then please check out the Articles section of this site. If you want to reach out then please use the guestbook and I will do my best to reply.
Thanks for visiting! :)
